I have gaps

How Do I Fix My Gappy Smile?

Whether you have multiple or a single gap between your teeth, closing these spaces can greatly change the aesthetics of your smile. Gapped teeth can also be an oral health risk, as trapped food can cause decay and gum issues.

Overview

How long does treatment normally take?

  • Porcelain Veneers – 4-6 weeks.
  • Orthodontics/Invisalign (referred to a trusted provider) – Individual cases may vary, average time is 12-18 months.

How long does it last?

  • Porcelain Veneers – 10 to 20+ years.
  • Orthodontics/Invisalign – Lifetime retention.

Does it hurt?

  • The reality is many dental procedures cause discomfort of differing levels depending on the type and severity of the procedure. Our priority is to ensure you are as comfortable as possible throughout all procedures. We also offer the option of sedation if you would prefer to sleep during treatment due to nerves or lengthy appointments.

Treatment Options

Every dental case is different, and we will need to see you for a personalised consultation, but as a general rule you have two main options available to you:

Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers are ultra-thinm, custom-made porcelain laminates that are bonded directly to the teeth. Veneers will allow us to close spaces, transform the size, shape, position, and colour of your teeth.

Orthodontics/Invisalign
These invisible aligners will move your natural teeth into the correct position and bite. This is ideal for those that are happy with the size and shape of their natural teeth, but just want to close those gaps. Please note: Advanced Dental Artistry does not provide this service, but can refer you to a trusted provider if you want this treatment in combination with treatment completed at our clinic.
