Having routine dental exams helps maintain a healthy smile by focusing on prevention and longevity. Your dentist can detect the onset of potential future problems such as:
At this appointment, we will concentrate on taking the time to listen to your concerns and needs. Additionally, we will discuss your current oral health and any treatment options that might be necessary. This check-up can also include:
Together we will review and discuss your dental x-rays and photographs so that we can both share a better understanding of your mouth. We advise that all patients see a dentist at least twice a year for a routine dental exam, and a scale and clean as needed. This is ideal for removing tartar deposits from the teeth, conducting oral screening checks, and intercepting any developing cavities.
Do you have a history of family cancer? Embarrassing bad breath? Feel like you are prone to tooth decay?
Our advanced oral health check is a comprehensive personal oral and overall health assessment service. It’s designed to educate, evaluate and provide direction and peace of mind. It is a 3-appointment process customised to your needs, and includes:
1. Introduction & discussion of concerns
2. 60– 70-minute assessment with oral health specialists
3. Report and review of your personalised oral health results
We focus on providing important insight into how oral diseases can be related to heart disease, stroke, infertility and other health conditions. Before your first appointment, you will be asked to complete a comprehensive lifestyle and health questionnaire to help our oral health specialist identify your risk factors.
When you brush your teeth you’re only cleaning the top, front and back of the teeth—what doesn’t get cleaned is the sides of the teeth. If you don’t floss the sides of the teeth not cleaned can accumulate bacteria and plaque, causing gum disease and decay. The best time to floss is before you go to bed, and if you floss the chance of you getting gum disease or decay is minimal.
Dental crowns and dental bridges are artificial teeth solutions made from lifelike porcelain which fill the void of missing or badly damaged teeth. This is a part of our general dentistry solutions.
What’s the difference?
Dental Crowns – Crowns save a decayed or broken tooth by forming a cap over the remains to protect from further damage, and transform the appearance of an unsightly tooth.
Dental Bridges – Bridges are prosthetic teeth that fill the void of a missing tooth, supported by healthy teeth (or crowns) on either side.
At Advanced Dental Artistry, our planning and fabricating of both dental crowns and bridges are assisted by the latest in computer technology. Our in-house ceramist use only the best quality porcelain materials to create long-lasting, personalised aesthetic solutions when more advanced cosmetic dentistry solutions like dental implants are not appropriate.
Did you know, your mouth isn’t fully developed until you’re in early adulthood? That’s because your third molars, or wisdom teeth, won’t erupt until you are in your late teens or early twenties. Sometimes there is issues during this eruption. The tooth can come in sideways, or become impacted as there is no more space in the mouth. In these circumstances, your wisdom teeth will need to be removed. The team at Advanced Dental Artistry will give you lots of information on what to expect before, during, and after your wisdom teeth removal. We will also discuss all sedation options available to you so you will feel most comfortable.
We understand that visiting the dentist can be a scary or nervous experience for many people. That’s why we offer sedative options for your dental appointments. Aside from local anaesthetic, we also provide twilight sedation and general anaesthetic options for our treatments. Sedation is also an option for those who would like a large amount of work done in the one sitting. If you’d like to learn more about our sedation options, don’t hesitate to contact our team.

When it comes to building patient trust, it’s important to be honest. We won’t lie to you. When it comes to cost, we are not the cheapest. However, we’re not interested in being considered ‘cheap’ when it comes to general dentist visits. What we are concerned about is providing quality care for all of our patients. With this in mind, our team are a highly trained and only use top quality materials from our state of the art facilities. This is also why we’re not a preferred provider. With medical payment schemes, often patients become just another mouth or just another number in the system. We want to be able to take the time out of our day to make sure that you are getting the best treatment possible, and with these payment schemes we are restricted with the type of care we can provide. At the end of the day, we may not be the cheapest, but we do care the most.

It may be that you are unsure of what specific treatments are available, or it could be that you are seeking a second opinion.
