Strong and natural looking veneers for teeth

How to straighten your teeth without braces

When preparing a tooth for porcelain treatment, we will always be as conservative as possible because we want to preserve as much natural tooth as we can.

How much do porcelain veneers cost?

If your teeth are visibly misaligned, discoloured or both, porcelain veneers are a way to restore the natural beauty of your smile. Right from the start, we’ll help you make informed decisions about your veneers. You must consider the shape of your face, your complexion and your smile lines to achieve the result that best suits you. The price of veneers tends to vary slightly from patient to patient, only once you have issued with your bespoke treatment plan can we give you an accurate plan and prices.

Do you use metal?

Old style, metal lined porcelain crowns, and veneers can cause the gums to recede due to metal sensitivity – revealing dark lines. They also tend to look very dense in colour to mask the metal or the metal shines through and leaves a grey shadow. Dentistry has come a long way since metal crowns were introduced, these days our crowns and veneers are handcrafted with pure porcelain by our talented in-house technicians. There is no metal to mask, and the pure porcelain allows light to shine through the tooth, giving an element of ‘life’ and naturalness to the tooth. We can make the teeth as perfect or as characterised as you prefer. We can create an entirely new smile or blend in with the neighbouring teeth. When we think of porcelain, we think of a fragile and breakable material – this is not the case with porcelain veneers and crowns. We use pressed layers of porcelain, which are then bonded to the tooth to create a strong layer that mimics the natural tooth enamel. When preparing a tooth for porcelain treatment, we will always be as conservative as possible because we want to preserve as much natural tooth as we can. Porcelain veneers are usually around 0.3mm thick, yet when they are bonded to the tooth – they are very strong

What can go wrong with cosmetic dentistry?

Any decision to undergo cosmetic dental treatment shouldn’t be taken lightly. Like with any medical procedure there are always risks, and for some people getting a smile makeover can turn into an unpleasant experience meaning they don’t get the results they want.

When looking at the medical field it is important to understand that different practitioners have different specialities. There is so much extra study and research required to gain expertise in a field. All the staff at ADAP by far exceed their required additional training. Not to mention the dentists at both practices have over 40 years’ combined experience and our onsite ceramists have almost 60 years between them! As such, our in-house processes have been refined over time to what we believe give our patients the best all round cosmetic outcome. No matter what your concerns, the team will have treated patients just like you before and they will be able to show you exactly the sort of results you can expect.
