Dental implants

Dental implants are the most after sought option for patients looking to fully replace an already missing or damaged tooth. They integrate with your jawbone and are an ideal aesthetic replacement for your natural teeth.

Patients have two options: traditional dental implants and All-On-4 implant technology.

Traditional dental implants

To install the traditional dental implants, a patient will require at least two surgeries. A patient may require several individual implants (up to 8) when they need to reconstruct the mouth. The procedure takes time compared to the All-On-4 implant technique.

All-On-4 implant technology

The All-On-4 implant technology is an excellent permanent solution to complex oral health issues, such as severe tooth loss due to decay and infections, advanced gum disease, and loose teeth. This treatment takes one to three days and can be used to replace all teeth in a single arch that’s affected (upper or lower). The 4 implants are strategically placed in areas with good quality bone, providing enough structural support for a comfortable set of prosthetic teeth.

Dentures

Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth. Depending on a patient’s oral, a patient can get complete dentures (all teeth missing) or partial endures (some teeth remaining). Dentures will typically require periodic adjustment to fit properly during the healing process.

Dental Hygiene

Good oral hygiene is highly recommended to control the progression of gum disease and other dental problems. Well, here are the recommended dental hygiene habits:

Brush and floss daily – You need to brush your teeth with a fluoride toothpaste at least twice a day. Use a toothbrush with soft bristles and be sure to replace it after every 3 months. Flossing is also more effective than brushing alone. It helps remove bacteria and food debris from areas that brushing cannot access. If you’re wearing dentures, you should remove and clean them daily using cleaners designed for dentures.

Visit a dentist regularly – Don’t wait until you have pain to see a dentist. Regular checkups and periodontal screenings are extremely important, as they help address the oral health problems in their early stages. Dentists can also recommend preventative procedures to keep your teeth, bone, and gum healthy.
