Cheryl – worn denture and lower missing teeth

Cheryl was very self-conscious of her health and is looking for solutions for a lower denture.

Cheryl had used an upper denture for many years which had worn down. She had just a few anterior lower teeth remaining which were all breaking down and failing due to the over use with the denture. Unfortunately, this meant that Cheryl had lost vertical height on her face due to the lack of lower back teeth, as a result of the bone and gum underneath the denture shrinking. Her options for treatment to re-establish this vertical height was a new denture to replace the shrunken bone and her worn teeth. For the lower arch, we performed an all-on-four bridge which is fixed with implants for retention. This complemented her new bite and preserved her new vertical height giving Cheryl back a full and beautiful smile.
