Dental Procedure Risks
Every dental procedure carries its own risks and potential complications. It’s your right to fully understand all the possible outcomes and risks fully. We want each of our patients to be fully informed before undergoing any treatment.
This page is designed to help give a brief understanding of the risks associated with each treatment and how we work to mitigate these risks to the best of our ability. We will discuss these in further detail at your appointments.

THE RISKS
All-On-4 & DENTAL IMPLANTS
All-On-4 involves replacing all teeth with a fixed bridge attached to four titanium implants placed in the upper and/or lower jawbones. Like any procedure, All-On-4 dental implants (or dental implants by themselves with a crown instead of a larger bridge) do have complications and risks to consider. These are outlined in our frequently asked questions section; click the link to find out more.
Porcelain Veneers
Full mouth reconstruction is a highly personalised process that often combines dental implants and porcelain veneers. It is often paired with complex bite management to re-establish changed or collapsed bites. The potential of risks or complications is always present, so an overview is provided in the frequently asked questions section at the link below.

Dental Procedure Risks
What You Should ask about
While each procedure carries its own unique risks, you should always consider the following and ask these questions before making your decision.
Irreversibility
Are the effects of this procedure permanent, and what are the implications if I am not satisfied with the results?
Cost
What is the total cost of the procedure, including any follow-up visits, and does my insurance cover any of these expenses?
Dentist Experience
How experienced is the dentist performing the procedure, and can they provide before-and-after photos or patient case studies for treatments they have personally performed?
Treatment Longevity
How long can I expect the results of this treatment to last, and what factors might affect its durability? What are my responsibilities in ensuring treatment longevity?
Maintenance Requirements
What kind of maintenance will be required after the procedure, and how often will I need to visit the dentist for check-ups or adjustments?
Aftercare
What specific aftercare will be needed post-procedure, and what steps should I take to ensure optimal healing and long-term results?
